Here are a few pictures of Churchdown Removals recent trip to Perpignan in the south of France.
Couldn't of had a better trip on the way down to Perpignan. Slightly iffy Hotel F1 in Clermont-Ferrand, which we reached around midnight, but we were so tired by then we didn't care, having left Cheltenham at 6am. Started out at 6am to get to our customer for mid day. Reached the village of St. Hippolyte, around 11.30am, where our removal was. Removal went smoothly .
Trip back was slightly more eventful. Stopped at the hotel Mercure in Chanas on the way back, chalk and cheese comes to mind, lovely hotel, friendly staff and a real shower, in our room, result !!! The motorway was very windy, one gust almost lifted us on to two wheels !
Got to the ferry port and had an hour to wait, not bad, we thought, then we found out that our ferry was poorly and was going to be replaced. So two hours later we boarded and went straight to the freight drivers restaurant, ordered our meal and tucked in. Whilst enjoying our hard earned meal, an announcement was made explaining that the crossing was going to be rough to very rough, gulp. I know we are an island nation, but I haven't properly tested my see legs yet !!!! And we had just eaten. Turns out I am obviously from good seafaring stock, somewhere down the line, and it's almost fun watching people turning funny colours and grabbing sick bags.
We managed to get back to Cheltenham around 3am and slept soundly.
